Spring Fling 2025

Held on a gray and rainy day, this event formerly called the Jamboree brought warmth and energy indoors as dancers from across the region gathered to celebrate square and round dancing under its new name. Larry Dudgeon's energetic calling style kept the squares moving and smiling. Carolyn & Tony Ahart of Springfield, Missouri brought enthusiasm and expertise to the floor. Despite the weather, the atmosphere inside was lively, friendly, and full of shared joy, movement, and community.

New Year's Eve 2024

The Shed House 3 (Dennis Mineau, Tom Murray, and Mike Richard) called the dances at this lively New Year’s Eve celebration, keeping the energy high and the dancers moving all night long.

With four squares dancing, and about 8 couples round dancing to the cueing of Bob & Gerry Tevlin, it was a fantastic time for the dance enthusiasts to ring in the New Year together.

At midnight, the celebration continued with a toast of grape juice, with noisemakers, and a heartfelt rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" sung by all, helping to create an unforgettable start to the year.

Benefit Dance 2024

The Benefit Dance, held annually to support local causes, took place on November 3, 2024, with proceeds benefiting longtime St. Louis area caller John Stuart and his wife Bev.

This year's event raised $2,700 to help offset medical expenses following several years of intensive cancer treatments for John. With 80-100 dancers in attendance, the event was full of energy and community spirit.

The evening featured calling by St. Louis area callers, including Allan McKinney (featured in the video), who helped make this special afternoon of dancing a success.

Fall Round Dance Festival 2024

The annual River City Rounds Fall Festival, a popular round dance event, kicked off on Friday night with local cuers Bob Pyles and Gerry Tevlin.

Saturday’s activities featured a full day of round dance workshops in the morning and afternoon, followed by an evening dance. The workshops and cueing were led by featured cuers Carolyn & Tony Ahart from Springfield, MO, who brought their expertise to the event. Several couples from the Springfield area joined the fun, making it a fantastic weekend filled with great dancing and camaraderie.
